Helen Heiman is a designer, artist and educator with 20+ years of experience, awarded for innovation in sustainable fashion (Lisbon, 2023). She teaches teens to turn ideas into real, wearable clothes — with craft, confidence and a sense of personal style.
The curriculum
Four ways you'll grow
Fashion illustration & design
Draw the fashion figure, develop creativity, choose colour & fabric, and build a mini-collection (3+ designs).
Sewing basics
The Burda method, confident machine work, cutting techniques, and assembly & finishing.
Style & self-expression
Body types & proportions, pairing colours & pieces, and finding your own personal style.
Eco-fashion & upcycling
Turn old clothes into new, explore customising & textile art, and learn sustainable basics.
Student work
From sketch to runway
Real mood boards, croquis and finished pieces made by teens in the studio.
